Mango rice

Quick and easy mango rice.


Mango: 1 whole mango shredded

Rice cooked : 2 cups

Peanuts : 1/4 cup raw

Cumin seeds: 1 tablespoon.

Chanadal or Bengal gram: 1/4 cup(washed)

Red chillies whole: 2 broken into pieces.

Curry leaves: 3 strands

Green chillies: 4 - 5 slit lengthwise

Garlic: 3 cloves chopped

Oil: 4 tablespoons

Salt as per requirement


Cook rice and keep it ready.

Now take a deep pan and add oil and once oil heats up add cumin,garlic,green chillies,chanadal,red chillies,peanuts,half of shredded mango,curry leaves,salt,turmeric.

Once everything is cooked nicely, add rice and coat it with above seasoning and add rest of the shredded mango and mix it well.

After 5 minutes switch off the flame and serve.
